Easter and Anzac Liturgies

29/04/2019

The liturgies at each campus were a beautiful way to begin the term. Coolock students witnessed the story of the  death and resurrection of Jesus through drama. It was an opportunity to reflect both on the light and hope of the Easter season and pay tribute to those who have served our country.

Both campuses also held a minute’s silence as a sign of respect for all those killed on Easter Sunday, whilst worshipping in Church or residing peacefully in hotels. Over 300 people were killed and some 500 injured across Sri Lanka as the result of six bombings. Click here to read a reflection and prayer for Sri Lanka.

Thanks to Mrs Turpie and Mr Blakeley’s classes at Coolock for planning and leading the liturgy.

Thanks to all students involved in the liturgies. Thanks to Ms Ross and Mrs Moore for supporting the students involved in the music and to Mr Thompson and Mr Dudfield for playing the Last Post and the Rouse.
