BUS INFORMATION

Urban Bus Information and Bus Passes

Below is the the urban bus timetable for school bus specials that service Coolock (Junortoun).  Please ensure your student is aware of the bus bay number for the afternoon departure as it can help allay any anxiety.

Bus Passes

It is not compulsory for your child to have a bus pass, but there are considerable savings if they will be using the bus every day.  Families firstly need to complete the PTV School Student ID form.  A copy of the form is attached or it can be downloaded from ptv.vic.gov.au/schoolstudents.  Before the pass can be issued by VLINE, families are asked to attend the office at either St Mary’s (Barkly Street) or Coolock (Junortoun) and have the form endorsed by the College.

You will need to have two passport-sized photos attached to the form.

The Student ID form, when complete, is then taken to VLINE, Bendigo Station or the Hub at Marketplace for issue of the Student ID form and the MYKI Bus Pass.

Bus Information Day Wednesday 31 January 10.00 – 3.00

Contrary to previous advice, VLINE will not be in attendance at the Bus Information Day.  Christians Bus Company staff will be in attendance and College staff will be available to assist with Country Bus enquiries and endorsement of Student ID forms.  Student ID cards are now only issued at VLINE, Bendigo Station or the Hub at Marketplace.

Conveyance Allowance

Travellers who reside more than 4.8kms from the College may be eligible for Conveyance Allowance. This allowance is only available to those travellers who have purchased a bus pass.

To claim the allowance please see form below.  This form is to be completed and returned, along with the receipt for the bus pass, and returned to the Finance Office, St Mary’s, Barkly Street, Bendigo.

Country Bus Travellers

Some families have received notice of approval to travel.  There are many students still on waiting lists for services to Coolock (Junortoun).  We are hoping to soon have confirmation from the Department of Education about further approvals.  Confirmations will be sent to families immediately the information is received.

Thank you to all families for their patience in this matter.

When you receive confirmation of travel approval, please take note of the bus bay number that your child’s bus departs from in the afternoon at Coolock (Junortoun).  A list of bus bays is attached.

Approved Country Bus Travellers do not need a bus pass or a student concession card.
