  • Venue:  Marian Theatre, St Mary’s Campus, Barkly Street
  • Time:  6.00pm

This compulsory Information Evening is for parent/carers only. Students will be briefed separately about the camp. The Parent Information Evening will provide you with relevant information for your child to successfully participate in the program and ensure you are fully aware of what the camp experience involves.

The evening and presentation will cover the Adventure Plus Outdoor Education group profile as well as the 2023 program, including venues, activities and learning outcomes.

ABOUT THE CAMP

Planning is well underway for the 2023 Year 9 Camp, to be held in Portland and lower Glenelg River National Park. We are partnering with the Adventure Plus Outdoor Education group who will facilitate the Year 9 Camp Experience for 2023. The Year 9 students will be divided into two groups to attend camp over two separate weeks, each with a duration of four nights and five days.

  • Core groups A1, B1, C1, D1, A3 & B3 will be on camp from Monday 1 May – Friday 5 May 2023
  • Core groups A2, B2, C2, D2, C3 & D3 will be on camp from Monday 8 May – Friday 12 May 2023

The aim of this experience is to encourage students to build a closer connection with themselves, their peers, and the environment. In addition, the camp should draw on links from students’ experiences in our Term 1 Veritas Unit on Stewardship and Sustainability and our 2023 College theme of “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”.

If you have any questions concerning the camp experience, please contact your child’s Student Advocate or Year Level Learning Leaders.

Yours sincerely
