Year 8s welcome Caritas visitors22/03/2019
On Friday 15 March, the Year 8 students welcomed Ms Kerri Stone from Caritas Sandhurst and Super Dube, a guest speaker from Caritas Hwange (Zimbabwe).
Super Dube talked about the effort of living in a third world country and how every day was a struggle just to find clean water and search for food, with each person only having on average $2 to spend per day.
1000 die every day due to the poor water conditions. Not only that, but Malaria kills more than 100 million people each year; that means 3000 people each day.
It was an amazing experience to hear his stories and we learnt a lot about the world and what we can do to help others.
