SCHOOL SPORT VICTORIA – SANDHURST DIVISION

Year 7 Girls Netball

On Wednesday 28 May, our Year 7 girls represented the College with pride and enthusiasm at the Sandhurst Girls Netball Competition.

A special thank you to Jordi O’Bree, Indie Kramer and Ava Hope for umpiring on the day. Your efforts were greatly appreciated; without your support, the competition simply couldn’t have gone ahead.

Year 7A
The Year 7A Team showed exceptional dedication, skill and sportsmanship throughout the day as they competed against several local schools.

Our closest and most exciting match of the day was the opening game against Marist College Bendigo, where the girls fought hard in a closely contested battle. From here, they continued their strong performance with matches against Crusoe College, Bendigo South East College, Creek Street Christian College and Victory Christian College. Each game allowed the team to showcase the skills they’ve been building at training, from sharp passing to strong defensive pressure and accurate shooting.

The girls demonstrated outstanding teamwork and a positive attitude across all games, and their support for one another on and off the court was a highlight.

We’re incredibly proud of how the team represented the school, and we look forward to seeing them take to the court again in the next stage of the competition in Term 3.

Well done, girls!

Year 7B
The Year 7B Team delivered an outstanding performance at the tournament, winning every game dominantly. Their impressive skills were on full display across all positions, with strong defence, clever passing, and confident scoring. The team worked seamlessly together all day, displaying excellent communication and support for one another during all games played. Not only did they impress with their gameplay, but their sportsmanship stood out as they encouraged opponents and respected the umpires. It was a fantastic day, and the team should be incredibly proud of their effort and attitude. Well done!
