Year 11 News – 11 April 2024

10/04/2024

Welcome back to all our Year 11 students and families!

The end of last term was a busy one for both staff and students. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoy the last couple of days of term connecting over food, charity and sunshine.

Our fantastic Year 11 staff put on a morning tea at St Mary’s campus, with a Holy Easter theme.

From Monday 18 to Friday 22 March, VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) students and the Applied Learning students in Years 11 and 12 completed their first block of Structured Work Placement (SWL). Some of the students were visited on site to see how they were progressing and enjoying their work. Reports from the various employers were encouraging and positive, with prospects of part-time casual jobs or future School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs). Tasks were always completed under supervision and the students got to test their skills in a variety of areas.

Well done to all the students and thank you to Ms Jan Miletic for her contribution and for going out to meet the students at their workplaces.
