Year 10 Camp: Careers, Compassion and Culture

25/07/2019

Year 10 Camp this year saw us head to Melbourne to explore the ideas of Careers, Compassion and Culture. Students represented the College with pride while visiting a number of venues over a 3-day period.

Students found their way around Melbourne and managed public transport as they visited places as varied as The Shrine of Remembrance, AC/DC Lane, the Melbourne Museum and St Patrick’s Cathedral.

They learned about how to be truly sustainable at CERES Environment Park, visited Parliament House, got arty at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art and enjoyed a walk along Birrarung Marr.

Social enterprise was explored at The Big Issue, Thankyou Australia and at HoMie, where they heard about homeless youth engagement through retail enterprise.

The fun of Camp Week was not lost at school, with students participating in a variety of activities building on our key themes in a team-building environment.

A sincere thank you to all staff, students and parents for their support, participation and engagement during the week.
