St Mary’s is our senior campus, where the Years 10 – 12 students learn. In the senior years, students select from a wide range of electives across multiple learning areas to give them the best opportunity to succeed as graduates, with pathways to further study, apprenticeships and employment. In Years 11 – 12 students work towards obtaining the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and most Year 10 students take advantage of accelerating their studies, with more than fifty VCE and Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects on offer.

The Backhaus Building consists of general purpose learning areas with flexible configurations. Resting on top of the hill, it features commanding views across Bendigo.
Coolock House
Coolock House
Coolock House is one of Bendigo’s best known heritage houses. Built in the 1870s, it was previously owned by Sir George Lansell Junior and acquired by the College in 1959. The Duke and Duchess of York famously stayed in the home in 1927. Wonderful features of the house include magnificent stained-glass windows and ornate carvings. Currently, Coolock House offers general learning spaces.

The English Learning Centre was designed by teachers and students to provide a range of flexible and dynamic learning spaces and to help reinvent the approach to collaborative learning.
Marian Centre - Theatre and Gymnasium
Marian Centre - Theatre and Gymnasium
At St Mary's the double-court gymnasium with rock-climbing wall and fitness centre is used for physical and outdoor education as well as Whole College Assemblies. The 300-seat theatre has advanced technology suited to the performing arts and is ideal for large gatherings such as incursions and assemblies.

The Heritage Room within the original convent building is a visual connection to our founders, the Sisters of Mercy. It is a space for students to reflect on our past and to develop a deeper understanding of the essence of the Mercy Spirit. The Mercy Building is home to the General Office and student support spaces.

In partnership with Mercy Health and Australian Catholic University, Year 10 students are offered a unique opportunity for real-world experience at Mercy Health Bethlehem Home for the Aged through the iGEN program.

Fondly known as the “Sr Ana building” this building is for hands-on learning centred in health and hospitality. One space purposely replicates a hospital so that students are comfortable in a realistic workplace environment complete with hospital beds as well as patient aids and appliances. Likewise the Food Technology area with commercial ovens and kitchenware is a replica of a real world hospitality setting. The canteen offers indoor-outdoor eating areas.

Five large, connected science laboratories provide precision equipment for all practical classes in senior science studies. Students are taught the fundamentals of science in addition to specific subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and Environmental Science.

St Mary's Courtyard and Mercy Chapel
The St Mary’s Courtyard is a beautifully landscaped space with a Mercy Cross displaying the Mercy values. The courtyard is in the foregound of the St Mary's Arts building and provides a connection with the Mercy Chapel which was built in 1884 by the Sisters of Mercy. the Chapel and Courtyard are often used by classes or individuals as quiet and reflective places of of beauty.

The St Mary’s library is an open plan welcoming environment in which students’ learning is supported by staff and peers. The library also has a separate 'study lab' and functions as a study space for students before and after school.

A full range of equipment is housed in the Champagnat Building which is used by students of technology, product and design.

The Arts Building and Drama Hall - Visual Arts, Textiles and Drama
The Arts Building is a learning area that features art studios, a computer hub for photography, as well as media and textiles room. The building has a historic exterior, but the rooms are contemporary and flooded with natural light. The original St Mary’s school hall is the centre for senior drama studies. There are also open gallery spaces that display student artwork to celebrate their creations.
