Subject Selection Evening 2025

Students going into Year 10, the VCE and VCE Vocational Major, with their parents and carers, visited displays, discussed their programs with teachers and attended the relevant information sessions last week at Subject Selection Evening, held in the Marian Centre at St Mary’s Campus. Thank you to everyone who committed to their subject and program planning by coming to this valuable event, despite the chill outside.

They attended sessions led by Mrs Gina Giblin (Assistant Principal Learning and Teaching) and Mr Kieren Prowse (Pathways Learning Director), who provided essential information for considering subject selection and planning senior pathways at Catherine McAuley College Bendigo.

The subject selection process forms an important step in the Catherine McAuley College Bendigo educational journey, guiding students towards future learning pathways and career opportunities. Supported by teachers, careers practitioners, and their parents and carers, students are encouraged to select subjects that align with their interests, strengths and goals, in a staged approach that encourages self-reflection and informed decision-making.

By thorough engagement in subject selection, students can create a meaningful and personalised learning experience that builds a strong foundation for success in their senior years and beyond.
