Stage Door Camp brings together students across our Diocese

27/07/2018

In Term 2, we were extremely lucky to be a part of the Stage Door Performing Arts camp with thirty-eight students from other schools including Marist College, Galen Catholic College, Marian College Myrtleford, St Mary of the Angels, St Joseph’s Echuca, WCP Wangaratta and Notre Dame College.

Over three days we worked on putting together a performance to present at Arts on Show in Shepparton, which included learning dance numbers and songs, having auditions, costume and prop organisation and much more. We focused solely on developing and improving our skills in all aspects of theatre including acting, dancing and singing.

Although it was challenging working hard on our performance for up to ten hours a day, we got to meet and have fun with some amazing people, all with the same interest in performing arts! The facilities were great, the staff were so kind and the other students were some of the most talented, friendly, and funniest people that we have ever met. We know we will hold a close friendship with them for years to come! But this isn’t over, we all have kept in touch (with snapchat groups of course), and are busy practising and preparing for the big show in September!
