Senior Drama Students Shine Once More…

11/11/2019

On the evening of Tuesday 29 October, our Year 10 and 11 Drama students presented their ensemble and solo performances to family and friends in the Marian Theatre.

The Year 10 students presented an ensemble piece focusing on the theme, ‘Screen Time’. In this performance, the Year 10s collaborated to explore the addictions that children, adolescents and adults often have to screens and the impact of these addictions on imaginations and relationships.

Our Unit 2 Drama students also presented solo performances for the first time during the evening. This task was a challenging one, as students developed their own individual pieces from researching, scripting, rehearsing and refining their performances as The Spirit of Place. The Year 11s explored the significance of Place to our Australian identity, focusing on the Bush, Outback, Coast and City.

Once again, all our Drama students really stepped up and presented thought-provoking, entertaining and creative self-devised performances, showcasing their hard work, commitment and talent to a live audience. Congratulations to all involved!
