Safe Partying information hits the mark for students and parents

21/03/2019

It was a delight to have internationally renowned speaker and author Sonya Karras speak to all our students at the St Mary’s campus on Tuesday 19 March.

Sonya spoke to the students about a range of topics, including drugs and alcohol, social media, building a professional online presence and how to look out for each other. As always, the students responded very well to Sonja’s down-to-earth nature and her willingness to share stories from her years in the hospitality industry.

Sonya also spoke to many of our parents at a Parent Forum in the evening. All who attended found it very worthwhile. Emma Gibbons from Victoria Police was also in attendance and provided useful information about how to safely host parties.

We thank Sonya Karras and Emma Gibbons for their engaging presentations and the excellent information they shared. Please find below some useful websites and resources that may support you and your children with the issues presented. As always, we encourage you to have follow up conversations with your children about what was presented on Tuesday.
