Research Study: Building Capacity for Quality Teaching in Australian Schools

24/02/2022

Catherine McAuley College (CMC) is excited to be participating in a nationwide research project, aimed at improving teacher professional practice in developing students literacy and numeracy skills. This research is being conducted through the University of Newcastle and is focussed on “Quality Teaching Rounds” for teachers.

CMC has four teachers participating in the project, and students in their Mathematics or English classes are encouraged to participate in the project by consenting to numeracy and literacy data for their learning this year being shared with the University of Newcastle.

Students in these classes will receive a consent form in class to sign and return.

Student participation is entirely voluntary.

The flyer below outlines the Research Project. For further information, please contact the research manager, Tim Dean, at qtr- vic@newcastle.edu.au or phone (02) 4985 4300.
