Remembrance Day 2022

LEST WE FORGET

St Mary’s student leaders Layne Austin, Jordyn Aldred, Jack Osborne and Tyra Brauer represented the College at the Remembrance Day Commemorative Service at the Bendigo Soldiers Memorial. Students were able to lay a wreath and listened to a number of speakers, men and women who have served in our armed forces.

Meanwhile at school, students paused during classes for the 11am minute’s silence and reflection. Thank you to Year 10 student Liam Truscott whose recording of the evocative Last Post and Rouse was played in classrooms.

At Coolock, St Joseph’s Rochester students buddied up with Year 7 classes for the ceremony. Our Year 7s were delighted to have this time with their primary school guests.
