Production Week for ‘Joseph’

13/06/2023

We are now in the production week of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which includes bumping in and rehearsing in the Ulumbarra Theatre. Participating in a musical production can be an incredibly rewarding experience for young people, helping to develop a range of important skills and qualities that are transferable to many areas of life. For performers, being part of a cast requires teamwork, commitment, and discipline, as they work together to deliver a polished and engaging performance. Being a member of the backstage crew requires creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail, as they manage the many technical aspects of a show from lighting to set design.

Musical productions can also help to foster a sense of community and provide opportunities for students to make new friends and develop meaningful relationships. The feeling of being part of something larger than oneself can be tremendously empowering and can help young people to develop a sense of pride and self-confidence in their abilities.

Furthermore, attending productions like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat can be a wonderful way for families and children to enjoy an evening of entertainment together. The show promises to be a family-friendly and visually stunning adaptation of the classic story, featuring some of the most memorable songs in musical theatre history.

We encourage our school community to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to see a live performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Ulumbarra Theatre. Don’t miss out on the chance to support our talented students and enjoy a night of entertainment that the whole family can enjoy!
