Parent Student Teacher Interviews

08/08/2019

On Thursday and Friday of last week, our students had the opportunity to lead conferences with their parents and teachers, explaining their learning throughout the year so far, and discussing how to improve their learning in all of their subjects. Our students also engaged with their mentors in planning out their future pathway and subjects for 2020.

As was the case with our interviews in Term 2, we have been focussing as a College on student efficacy, and having students take ownership of their learning. By all accounts our students are improving in this regard and we congratulate our students on their efforts in leading their interviews.

These interviews were well attended and we would really like to thank all of our families for the support they have shown their children and our teachers by attending these interviews and inquiring further about the learning in our classrooms.

As a school we are very pleased with our students and families engagement, particularly in our range of new programs, and our shift towards more experiential and student-driven learning experiences.

For any students still unsure of their subject selections for 2020, we encourage them to have further conversations with their Mentors, teachers, Year Level Learning Leaders and our Careers team who are all more than happy to offer support.

If for whatever reason you were not able to attend these parent teacher interview dates but would like an interview, then please make contact with your child’s teacher or with the College so that we can make arrangements for a time that suits you.
