Motorvation: educating our students to be safer on the roads

14/08/2019

Year 11 VCAL students were educated on the risks of driving, especially for young drivers, when they attended the Motorvation Driving Program at the Strathfieldsaye Football Ground on 13 August. This was a terrific learning experience for the students, aimed at leading them to being safer on the roads in future.

The students completed a range of tasks throughout the day that made them consider their behaviours when driving and how they can be as safe as possible.

There were also discussions around choices of cars and considerations of safety components such as tyres, ABS brakes and antilock steering and how they can assist in preventing accidents. The students also had a practical component that allowed them to look at cornering and braking at speed.
