Martyn Expo showcase for student projects

07/11/2018

A wonderfully varied exhibition of student-made items and creative projects made last Thursday’s Martyn Expo a fascinating event for visiting family and friends.

The 2018 Martyn Program students from Years 7, 8 and 9 displayed their Personal Projects at the Expo. Students were guided through the process of compiling a design folio and they worked hard in class and at home to produce a detailed folio about their learning and the variety of items that were on display at the Expo. During the Expo students discussed their learning with their parents and other guests and enjoyed receiving feedback about their projects.

On the evening parents and friends voted for the most creative display, most informative and their favourite.

The winners were:

  • Most Creative: Ruby A’Vard ‘50 Days of Art’ (MY3, Year 7)
  • Most Informative: Jackson Fletcher ‘Jacko’s Burners’  (MK1, Year 9)
  • Favourite: Rory Shaw ‘Put it to the Metal’ (JR4, Year 7)

Well done to all students on an amazing effort and showcase of their work.

Thank you to the Martyn Program team for their dedication in assisting students to complete their folio and prepare for this event as well as their hard work and support during the Expo.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all parents, many assisted the students with their projects and all parents supported the students and staff during the process.

What a wonderful celebration of student achievement.
