LMR Golf is hard work in the beautiful outdoors

On a beautiful day, Catherine McAuley College was fortunate to have two representatives at the Loddon Mallee Golf Day, played at the Bendigo Golf Course on Monday 1 May.

The format of the day was an 18-hole stroke event, making the competition tough for all competitors.

Mitchell Cakebread battled hard all day, playing some brilliant shots to finish in fourth place with a total score of 90.

Jack McCullough also managed to hit some great shots, but sadly inconsistency was his downfall as he finished in seventh place with a score of 103, out of a field of twelve competitors.

Finishing in the top third of the competition was a great result for Mitchell and both students should be proud of their efforts. We all know that golf is a sport that requires both physical and mental skills, and despite how it looks, it can be a really challenging yet rewarding experience.
