Lisa Chesters responds to students’ library request

17/10/2022

The Coolock and St Mary’s libraries have been fortunate to receive a visit from Lisa Chesters MP.

Ms Chesters kindly donated $250 to each library. These donations will be used to purchase books that are recommended by students.

At Coolock, she chatted with some of our students about CMC and the important role the Library plays. A big thank you to our Coolock student representatives Macey Rye, Sadie Fields, Sam Moloney and Rose McSweeney.

At St Mary’s, Ms Chesters spoke to four students about the library clubs they attend and books they like to read. She also mingled with Year 12 students and wished them all the best for their exams. Thank you to Lucy Daley, Ben Reid, Matt Bull and Sarah Duane, our St Mary’s representatives for the day.

Students are encouraged to give their book recommendations to the library staff so that we can invest these wonderful donations into books that YOU want to read.
