Koorie Students Benefit from Richmond FC Korin Gamadji Leadership Program

26/04/2024

All of our Koorie students from Year 7 to 12 attended an inspiring 2-hour leadership session run by Richmond Football Club through their Korin Gamadji Institute (KGI) program. The students learnt communication skills, reflected on who they look up to at home and built on other leadership skills.

The Korin Gamadji Institute  sits within the Richmond Football Club and has been running leadership programs for over ten years. KGI uses a strength-based approach, delivering education programs and events based on three key pillars – Leadership, Culture and Identity, and Social and Emotional Wellbeing, governed and informed by subject matter experts. KGI provides a culturally-safe space and environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people to chase big dreams, grow and emerge as leaders.
