Inter-school Balloon Footy Friendly

14/09/2018

What an exciting Scope Balloon Football Preliminary Final.

The Catherine McAuley College (CMC) students were hyped and ready. They began the day with a friendly play amongst themselves and a few of the players to relax the nerves. Lots of laughter emanated from the court.

The preliminary match between the Bulldogs and the Saints, though exciting, was dominated by the Bulldogs, who won 81 to 8. Jye Yates dominated the game. So next week in the Grand Final, the ladder leaders play each other again, Kangaroos vs Bulldogs. So, who will take home the coveted 2018 Premiership?

Following the Preliminary games was a friendly between the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) students of CMC and Bendigo Senior Secondary College (BSSC).  CMC defeated BSSC 68 to 9. Both groups of students enjoyed their time on the court.

After the games were completed, the Scope players, carers, officials and the students from CMC and BSSC shared a barbeque lunch, kindly put on by Rotary.
