Henry Leads Successful Food Collection Initiative

10/06/2025

As part of his Year 11 Personal Development Skills (PDS) class in the Vocational Major (VCE VM) program, Henry Howman undertook a meaningful community project focused on supporting those in need. Henry chose to organise a non-perishable food collection, demonstrating initiative, compassion and strong leadership.

Henry was responsible for preparing all communications related to the project, including promotional materials and outreach efforts. His clear messaging and enthusiastic approach inspired widespread participation from his school community.

Thanks to Henry’s dedication and organisational skills, the food collection was a great success. Last week, Henry proudly presented the collected items to the staff at Foodshare, where they were gratefully received and will go on to support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

Henry’s efforts exemplify the values of community service and social responsibility, and his project stands as a testament to the positive impact young people can have when they take action for a cause they believe in. Well done Henry!
