Contacting your child’s teachers

29/03/2018

We know that parental involvement in a child’s education can have a huge impact on their success, to that end we welcome contact from parents and encourage you to get in touch with your child’s teachers to discuss their progress and how you can best support them.

The two main ways to make initial contact are either via email or phone. As staff are constantly moving in and out of classes across a day, we may not always be available to answer your phone calls immediately, however, we will endeavour to return your call as soon as possible. Due to the nature of our work this may not be until the next working day but it will happen as soon as we are able.

In regards to emails, you are more than welcome to email staff, just know there is no expectation that staff are available to respond out of hours, again, we will endeavour to respond as soon as we are able.

Just to reiterate, parent engagement is a significant indicator of student success, so we encourage you to be as involved as possible in supporting your children throughout their schooling.
