CMCB Students at BDAC NAIDOC Family Day 2025

On Wednesday 9 July, during NAIDOC Week, the Bendigo District Aboriginal Cooperative again hosted NAIDOC Family Day at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre – a free, fun-filled celebration for community, culture, and connection. Around 5,000 community members joined in this powerful day of cultural pride and connection.

CMCB students and Koorie Education Workers responded to the invitation to join in by setting up a free, family-friendly activity inspired by this year’s NAIDOC theme: ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy’.

The initiative to attend the day came from the Student Representative Council FIRE Carriers Group, who wanted to ensure that the College was connecting with community. The stall included rock paintings, colouring and testing some of the College’s robots.
