CMC students receive Premier’s Award

On Thursday 27 July, two Catherine McAuley College students were recognised at the prestigious Premier’s VCE Awards, at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. The annual award ceremony recognises the outstanding achievements of the top students across the state in a range of Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Unit 3 & 4 subjects.

2022 Graduate Tahlia Isaac was recognised as a top student in Health (VCE VET) and current Year 12 student Noah Layton was recognised for his top performance and perfect score in Further Mathematics, which he achieved as a Year 11 student in 2022.

Both students were filled with pride, as were their parents and CMC staff.

The Hon Daniel Andrews, Premier of Victoria, sent a message of congratulation to the recipients, recognising their extraordinary work: “Your fantastic achievements are a testament to your skill, talent and dedication.”

The Hon Natalie Hutchins MP, Minister for Education also acknowledged the students’ achievements, “each of you has shown how bright, motivated and hard-working Victorian students truly are.”

Catherine McAuley College is extremely proud of Tahlia and Noah and we congratulate them on this outstanding achievement.
