Careers Night is back in 2022

20/04/2022

Catherine McAuley College’s Careers Night is back – bigger and better than ever.

This careers event, to be held in the Marian Centre at St Mary’s on Tuesday 3 May, is one of the biggest events held by any school in Victoria. The expo will feature over 50 stalls and nearly 100 representatives from various institutions, to provide valuable career advice and information.

Year 12 students and their parents and carers will have exclusive access to the event from 4.00 until 5.00 pm. The expo will open up to all students from Year 9 up from 5.00 until 7.00 pm.

Approximately twenty Victorian universities and TAFE colleges will be present, with representatives available to talk about courses, options and pathways. There will be a large representation from all areas of La Trobe University and Bendigo TAFE. In addition, there will be many independent tertiary colleges covering media, fine arts, agriculture and photography.

Training providers for apprenticeships and traineeships, local tradies and young industry ambassadors will be on hand to provide advice to students. Local industries and professionals will include Bendigo Health, Victoria Police, Fire Rescue Service, Magistrates Courts Victoria, Jenny’s Early Learning Centres, local lawyers, engineers and real estate agents. Medical students will also be in attendance as well as organisations that help provide supported pathways.

The 2022 Careers Night will be an exciting and productive evening that is not to be missed. It will help our students be even better informed about their career opportunities and future study directions. Parents and carers are encouraged to take this opportunity to return to on-site events and participate in the scheduled activities of our College community.
