Early Childhood Scholarships

The Australian Government predicts that there will be between 25,000 and 50,000 new jobs in early childhood education by 2022. This is a 20% increase in the number of bachelor’s degree qualified teachers currently needed.

Scholarships and incentives are available for people looking to pursue a rewarding career in early childhood education. Those choosing a scholarship or incentive will play an important role in implementing subsidised kindergarten programs for all three-year-old children across Victoria over the next ten years.

Education Scholarships

La Trobe has secured a number of scholarships to help strengthen pathway options for Regional/Rural students from the Bachelor of Educational Studies into Initial Teacher Education Programs.

Scholarships are valued at $3,000, with an additional payment of $2,000 for students who complete the course and enrol in an ITE course at La Trobe.
