Business Excellence Awards

Every Friday, Year 11 student Akoujh Jok heads to Paul Wilson Upholsterers to work a day in our Structured Workplace Learning programme. This gives him valuable skills and habits to take into the workplace in the future. We are grateful to owner Paul Wilson for his generous support of our students. Paul is happy to help, especially as his son Heath Lowden (a past student) is a graduate of a similar program. Heath is now a qualified upholsterer at the factory.

“As long as the work keeps coming through the door, I’m more than willing to help.” Paul said.

Paul was recognised for his work at the recent 2019 Bendigo Business Excellence Awards. He was a finalist in the category, ‘Diverse and Inclusive Workplaces’ and also won a Judges’ Award on the night.
