Book Week creativity

03/09/2018

Thank you to the students who participated in Book Week activities last week, once again Book Week was a huge success. We started off the week with a Trivia Quiz on Tuesday with both Tamara Duane and Sarah Duane sharing top points.

Wednesday saw a record twenty-six entries from Years 7 – 9 in the Edible Book Competition. The students never cease to amaze us with their creativity and they made it extremely difficult for the judges as so much thought, time and effort went into the eye-catching, delicious creations. Congratulations to: winner Eloise Holden (Enchanted); 2nd Isaac Taylor (Treasure Island); 3rd Layla O’Shea (Jack & the Beanstalk); and People’s Choice Maddison Capuano & Elizabeth Roberts (The Lorax).

Thursday was the finale with Dress Up Day. Well done to all the students who got into the spirit of Book Week by dressing up. Some came in themed costumes such as characters from Alice in Wonderland and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr Seuss. Also, Sarah J. Maas’ Assassins Blade characters made an appearance. Congratulations to the winners: Jessica Gallagher (Queen of Hearts – Year 7), Lucas Kennedy (Crusader – Year 8) and Deanna Duane (Elizabeth Bennet – Year 9).

We look forward to doing it all again next year!
