Active for Life – Golf, Lawn Bowls and Croquet

Our Year 9 elective Active for Life has had a busy start to term with our students making the most of several off-site excursions in the local community. Our students have been wonderful ambassadors for the College as they have made the most of playing nine holes at Neangar Park Golf Course Pitch and Putt, along with sessions at Strathfieldsaye Lawn Bowls Club and Bendigo Croquet Club.  Nicholas Hietbrink came very close to a hole-in-one during the pitch and putt session.

This subject is a terrific way for our younger students to connect with other community members and develop their passion for keeping fit. They witness firsthand the social and mental health benefits of these activities throughout our lifetime.

The Active for Life class is very grateful to the generous volunteers from all three of these organisations. Thank you for the time and expertise you give to benefit our students.
