Scope Balloon Football Season 2025

30/09/2025

Year 12 VCE Vocational Major  (VCE VM) Personal Development Class

Our Year 12 students actively assisted with the Scope Balloon Football League (BFL) season, for people with a disability. After fifteen rounds and a semi-final, the Bombers defeated the Kangas in the Grand Final in September.

Without the class of CMCB students, the program would not go ahead as there are many people needed to run each game, umpiring and pushing people in wheelchairs.

Balloon Football League (BFL) is a version of AFL that has been modified to suit the needs of people with a disability. The game was first started in 1995 by a small group of mates with disability who love footy. Today, it’s played by over 100 people across Victoria.

Scope Australia Bendigo staff were exceptionally happy with our class of boys who were very positive in their attitude towards the games and clients.
