Celebrating Innovation and Connection at the AMSSA Conference

18/06/2025

At the recent AMSSA Conference in Perth, hosted by Santa Maria College, Catherine McAuley College Bendigo (CMCB) proudly presented the iGEN Learning program – a standout example of innovation in Mercy education.

In alignment with the conference theme of Community, Connection, and Celebration, the iGEN program was a living embodiment of these values. The presentation highlighted the inspiring work of our students and staff, in partnership with Mercy Health and Australian Catholic University, showcasing how intergenerational learning is transforming lives and strengthening community bonds.

Attendees were taken on a journey through the many facets of the iGEN Learning program – from its strong partnerships to the profound benefits experienced by both students and Mercy Health residents. The program continues to demonstrate the power of compassion, collaboration, and shared learning.

This presentation also served as an open invitation to other Mercy Education Limited and Affiliated schools to join the iGEN Learning initiative. By connecting with Mercy Health residents in their own communities, schools can create meaningful, lasting relationships that enrich lives across generations.

Catherine McAuley College Bendigo is honoured to lead this initiative and support the broader Mercy ministries in building a more connected, compassionate future – together.
