2024 School Bus Travel Applications

TERM 1, 2024 APPLICATIONS WILL OPEN IN TWO WEEKS

  • Applications are not processed on a ‘first in first serve’ basis; rather, they are processed according to the eligibility criteria as set out in the School Bus Program Policy. Click here for further information: School Bus Program: Policy | education.vic.gov.au
  • The School Bus Program provides transport assistance to families in rural and regional Victoria.
  • Most applications for travel are managed through your school of enrolment, or local network bus coordinator.
  • For selected school bus networks, applications for bus travel must be submitted via the Student Travel Assistance Portal: Home (educationapps.vic.gov.au)

EXISTING TRAVELLERS

  • Existing travellers approved for travel in the old School Bus Management System have been migrated to the new Student Travel Assistance Portal.
  • Eligible travellers will not need to take any action for 2023 as they are approved for the whole school year.
  • Ineligible travellers should have received a travel offer for Term 4 on Wednesday 27 September. Please log into your account and manage/ accept this offer if your child requires travel in term 4.

NEW TRAVELLERS

  • If you are new to the School Bus Program, applications are currently being accepted for Term 4 travel.

RENEWALS

  • You can renew your current travel approval, or make a new travel application, after this time.
    Term 1, 2024 applications will be processed on Wednesday 15 November.

YEAR 9 STUDENTS HEADSTART

At St Marys: Monday 20 November – Friday 1 December 2023

  • All Year 9 Students who currently travel on a School Bus Program (SBS) Country Bus Service, or will need to commence travel on this service will be required to complete the Adhoc Travel form below, prior to Headstart.
  • This will allow travel alterations to your current travel, and travel to St Marys for the two weeks of Headstart.
