At the close of Semester 1, students in the arts have completed some impressive projects. We hope you enjoy this gallery of work by Years 7, 8 and 9 students.

Year 7 Art

Beautiful impressionist collages were created by our Year 7 art students, using tissue paper to explore colour and collage effects.

Year 7 Textiles

Imaginative ‘Softie Monsters’ from Year 7 Textiles students. The project involved exploring an idea, researching imagery for their design and learning embroidery skills including whip, back and blanket stitches.

Year 8 Art

‘Self-Portrait and Exploring Heritage’. Students researched countries linked to their heritage, including national artists. Tone and media were explored in creating these final presentations.

Year 9 Art

Some intricate dry-point etching from our Year 9 artists who are developing skills in Intaglio printing techniques. They explored image creation and applying line to create tone.
