Each year the Year 9 students at Catherine McAuley College produce a full scale production, enhancing confidence and providing the chance to try something new.

Students have the chance to participate in areas such as acting, singing, dancing, playing in the band, choreographing, set designing, make-up art, and lighting and audio-visual technology – putting in much energy, enthusiasm and passion to ensure success.

The staging of our production is a collaborative team effort, bringing many students and staff together over the course of a semester. Following the experience, students grow both personally and creatively.

A mixture of musicals and plays are selected each year, which have included Godspell, Grease, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Oliver! in the past.

Our productions are performed at Bendigo’s 950 seat Ulumbarra Theatre, giving students the experience of putting on a show in a professional capacity.
