Year 9 Outdoor Education Experience

26/04/2018

This week our Year 9 students have had the opportunity to challenge themselves on land and water in the Outdoor Education Experience. Students were divided into four groups to experience camping in stunning Victorian locations: the Goulburn River, Lake Eildon, the Yarrawonga/Cobram area of the Murray River and Hattah National Park on the Murray River, known for its open sandy beach and desert fauna and flora.

Our Year 9s worked together as small communities to experience these magnificent outdoor settings, taking part in bushwalking and either rafting, canoeing or sea kayaking. On Anzac Day, all groups participated in a dawn service at their camps before commencing the day’s program. Throughout the week, they have been fortunate to enjoy perfect weather for camping and water activities.
